When you would use this

A calendar connection covers your scheduled meetings. Sometimes that is not enough:
  • A call that was set up ad hoc, or in someone else’s calendar.
  • A meeting on a calendar you have not connected.
  • A conversation that started as a quick chat and turned into something worth recording.
For these, paste the meeting URL and send a bot directly. No calendar connection is involved.

Sending a bot

1

Open Add a bot

From Meetings → Bots, press Add Bot to Meeting. You can also do this from inside a Space: on a folder’s Meetings panel, the Add menu offers Add Bot to Meeting.
2

Paste the meeting URL

The Meeting URL field takes the link people would click to join the call. It is required — without it, nothing is sent.
3

Set the bot up

Below the URL is the full bot settings form — name, image, Space and folder, what to record, transcription mode, and join messages.Set Transcription to Real-time here if you want to follow the call as it happens.
4

Add bot

The bot joins the call and appears in the Bots table.

Starting from a Space folder

When you open Add a bot from a Space folder’s Meetings panel, the Space & folder field is already filled in with the folder you were looking at. The recording, transcript and summary land back in the same place without you having to pick it. This is the quickest way to get a meeting filed against a specific client or project: open their folder, add the bot from there, and the output comes back to them.
The form always opens clean. Settings from the last bot you sent are not carried over — apart from the Space and folder, when you started from inside one.
