Everything about whether and how Abbie reaches out first is under your control.

Turning it off entirely

A single switch, Let Abbie start conversations, turns off check-ins, follow-ups on parked work, and suggestions all at once. She’ll still answer normally whenever you talk to her; she just won’t message you first. This is available both as a quick toggle on the Abbie home page and in full in her settings.

Choosing what she can reach out about

If proactive messages are on, you can still switch off any one category independently: check-ins, follow-ups, or suggestions, without affecting the other two.

How often

Check-in frequency and the default follow-up window both have sensible presets (for example, weekly check-ins and a couple of days’ grace before a follow-up), with a custom option if you want something different. See the Outreach tab reference for the exact controls.

Snoozing

You can snooze check-ins until a specific date, and snooze the follow-up on an individual backlog item, without switching the whole feature off. Any active snooze is shown and can be cleared at any time from the Outreach settings tab.

Quiet hours

Separately from Abbie’s own cadence settings, your notification preferences let you set quiet hours: a window of the day during which nothing pings you, Abbie included. This is a general notification setting, not specific to Abbie, but it applies to how her proactive messages reach you the same as any other notification.
