Abbie can work in Microsoft Teams: in channels, in group chats and in 1:1 chats, the same as she does in Slack and in the web chat.
Teams setup is not a single button. Granting Microsoft 365 admin consent only approves Abbie for your organisation — it does not put her in Teams. The app package still has to be uploaded to your Teams app catalog and then added to the teams you want her in. Until that happens, Abbie appears nowhere in Teams, however green the connection looks in QuivaWorks. This is the single most common reason for “I connected it but nothing happens”.

What you need before you start

  • A QuivaWorks account admin to start the connection.
  • A Microsoft 365 or Teams administrator for the middle of it. If that is not you, send them the setup page — steps 2 to 5 are theirs.

Connecting

1

Approve Abbie for your organisation

An account admin selects Connect Microsoft Teams from the Where Abbie works card on the Abbie home page, or from Chat platforms in Integrations settings. That opens Microsoft’s admin-consent screen.Approving it provisions Abbie in your tenant. The connection now shows as consent granted — not as installed.
2

Download Abbie for Teams

From Set up Teams, download the app package. This is the file your Teams admin uploads.
3

Open your Teams admin center

The setup screen links straight to the Manage apps page in the Teams admin center.
4

Upload the file

Upload the package you downloaded. This puts Abbie in your organisation’s Teams app catalog.QuivaWorks checks the catalog for you and moves on once it can see her there. Check again re-runs the check if it has not caught up yet.
5

Choose which teams Abbie joins

Pick the teams to install her into — up to 30 at a time. QuivaWorks reports the result for each one, and anything that failed stays selected so it can be retried.
6

Add your colleagues

Once Abbie is in the catalog, invite the people who should have their own Abbie in Teams. Each person’s Teams identity is linked to their QuivaWorks account, so Abbie knows who she is talking to.
Installing Abbie into a team does not require the team’s owner — she is added directly. The team list also includes private teams you may not be a member of. Choose deliberately.
An install into a team covers that team’s standard channels; you do not need to add her channel by channel.

Linking your own account

Each person links their Teams identity to their QuivaWorks account so Abbie knows who she is speaking to. Message Abbie in Teams and she sends a link card, or link from the Chat platforms section of Integrations settings. Unlike Slack, there is no “DM her a keyword” shortcut — the card she sends carries its own button.

If she stops responding

If Abbie says an administrator needs to approve her again, the tenant’s consent is missing or incomplete. Every surface that reports this offers a Re-approve permissions action, which re-runs the admin-consent step from step 1.

Managing the connection

From Chat platforms in Integrations settings you can connect another tenant, unlink your own Teams account (which detaches your identity but leaves the app installed), or add more people. Removing Abbie from a team, or from the tenant’s app catalog, is done from Teams’ own admin surfaces.
