# The in-chat panel

> Checking and managing your backlog without leaving the conversation.

While you're chatting with Abbie, a badge in the header shows how many open backlog items belong to this session. Selecting it opens a panel over the conversation with those items and the same everyday actions you'd find on the [Backlog page](/abbie/backlog/backlog-page): marking something done, deferring a follow-up, or stopping an item, without navigating away.

The badge count refreshes automatically once a run finishes, so it stays current as Abbie adds to or completes items during the conversation.
